EMG and nerve conduction studies

Testing to evaluate diseases of, or damage to, the nerves and muscles.

Electromyography (EMG) is combined with nerve conduction studies (NCS) to evaluate diseases or damage to nerves and muscles.

On the day of your testPlease do not wear any oils, lotions or moisturizers on your skin.

Getting ready

  1. Complete your registration packet and bring it with you.
  2. Skip lotions, oils and moisturizers on the day of the study.
  3. If you will be late or need to cancel, call 713-960-9700 as soon as possible. See our cancellation policy.
